DJ TREND is both my DJ handle, and my vision for this site. I have been spinning music for the better part of 10 years, 15 if you count the early years of “attempt” at DJing. My passion lies in both the creative process (using Ableton Live, Maschine, Pro Tools, Reason, Massive, Komplete and other Software synths) and the overall aspect of what it takes to be more than just a number or a spot in the DJ world today. The blog is an outlet for me to showcase new gear, new music, videos from other DJs who rock, concert updates, interviews with DJs who are upcoming or trend blazing. Its as much about me, as it is about you, the up and coming DJ, the musician, the dancer, the raver. I’d love to know more about you, and what your interest is in DJing and how I can incorporate it into this blog.
My life beyond DJing is that of web designer, tech geek who owns roughly 20+ web domains and is always on the lookout for the next big thing, wither it be musically speaking or on the net. Q: Where did you get the name?
A: Its a combination of answers but I started another company called TREND PLANET in 1999 and I was using some techniques on the site to build trends. When I was out and about and at gigs people called me DJ TREND Planet from It stuck, but I thought that was a long name so I shortened it to DJ TREND. That and I wont deny that I either play music that is trending or trendy from electro house, top 40 dance, hip hop, funk mashups etc…
