One of my fav Djs, and friends Dani Deahl did a recent review on the new Red Bull BPM DJ App and I wanted to share the video with you guys. As I recently added on both an iPad and an iPod to my portable rig for who knows what, when, where, and why, the Red Bull DJ App could come quite in handy and I am really fascinated with the idea that you can send the main output from your iPad while using your ipod as a portable wireless headphone adapter via wifi. Whoever thought of that is a freaking genius and the app is slick and perfect for someone who wants to try out ipad Djing. That being said, the only complaint anyone could come up with is, how the **** a program as kick ass this came from a energy drink company and not one of the top DJ software companies in the biz. Hold on wait a minute, stop everything.. Did Serato just drop a new program for beginning DJ’s that actually kicks ass and should be worth a couple hundred euro, dollars, peso’s. This just in! Serato has released a new program called DJ INTRO that plans to help up and coming and probably a few established DJ’s learn to mix properly, and more or less get their feet wet with a professional name and a pro piece of software. Its a little like handing crack to a DJ baby. Once they get a taste of this sweetness they won’t want to try anything else. Brilliant move. But how well does it perform? Stay tuned as I jump into a full review and hopefully whip out my video camera to let you in on the features and what it can, and can’t do.
